Evisort, a SaaS contract management system in Silicon Valley, required a new website to introduce their new brand and improve the overall usability. As a contractor for a London-based agency with a client in the US, I had to quickly understand the business needs and fit my UX processes within a tight timeline.
The challenge was to quickly integrate into the project and deliver results. This required a high level of autonomy and the ability to establish effective collaboration with various stakeholders. I worked with oversight from the UX Director of Moving Brands and also alongside the Brand Team, and the founders/marketing/editorial team at Evisort who had never run a website project before.
The UX part of the project was everything from initial discovery sessions with the clients in the US, audits and defining information architecture to wireframing. My contract was then extended to fil the UI part of the project,, brand application, and design system creation alongside annotations for handover to another external dev agency.
The website was the first application of the new brand, so this allowed them to unveil their brand and start talking about their new identity across sales, internally and externally. Moving Brands were impressed with my contract work and added me to a second project with the BBC during my few months there.
This project really highlighted importance of adaptability, rapid problem-solving, and effective stakeholder communication in a contract role. Especially a contract role that then has their own client, it was really important to not only understand Evisort’s internal processes but also Moving Brands too.
