We were tasked by the BBC with creating a visual identity for a new internal initiative in 2016. This project aimed to raise awareness of Neurodiversity in the workplace. After a few years, they asked us to update the brand, making it feel more modern and vibrant while keeping the original features. CAPE (Creating a positive environment) is now the BBC's official Neurodiversity programme.
During Phase 1 of the project, the client, and neurodiverse community worked together to create moodboards and ultimately create the visual identity for digital and print. During this phase, I spoke at an event we created around UX and Neurodiversity as part of the Design Manchester Festival. A refresh of the brand was part of Phase 2: the client wanted more graphical assets and a more vibrant colour palette now that the brand was well established in BBC.
